Performing arts media camps and workshops are available throughout the United States for students middle school through college age students. Parents may be assured the camps are safe and will enhance their budding artist’s ability and their ability for acceptance into the art college of their choice.
An excellent programs are offered by USA Performing Arts. The programs are taught by experienced staff who understand the importance of following the desire of the artist within. The programs, workshops and camps are intense due to the passion of the professionals and the students involved. Many of the professional artists are actively involved in either college departments or active in the arts. The professionals look for talented youth to recommend forward in their educational careers.
Creative students should be encouraged by their parents to attend a camp or workshop. Whether the student knows exactly what they want, have a general idea or just know they like art in some fashion, the US Performing Art camps will help to improve their focus.
Camps or workshops are available in California, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, Washington D.C., New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. Themes include animation; acting for the camera, film, musical theater, stage and Broadway; comedy improv; computer animation; dance for the theater, new media, hip hop, and jazz; playwright or screen writing; Shakespeare or classical performance; stunt fighting; tech theater; television sit com; and voice.
The programs offer professional teachers, possible college credit, guest speakers, outstanding facilities, the experience of college campus life; confidence building; individualized programs; recreation; new friends; artistic improvement; and personal inspiration. Activities, classes and breaks are provided throughout a schedule that begins at 7:30 am with lights out at 10:30 pm.
Workshops and camps have been offered since 2000 by USA Performing Arts and collaborating universities throughout the United States. Yearly, more universities are becoming involved due to the quality of learning each student is attaining.
All campers are supervised 24 hours for safety. A mentor lives in the same hall as their students and enjoys evening activities with them. All alcohol, smoking and drugs are forbidden. Anyone found with or using these items are immediately dismissed. No second chances.
Nutritional food and excellent accommodations are provided. Most rooms are double-occupancy but may be tripled up if the group is large or gender is higher in one area. Students with special diets receive appropriate meals when requested early.
Cell phones and iPods will only be allowed during the evening hours. The camps recommend $60 for spending money.
Tuition encompasses a room, meals and the selected program costs. Extra fees may be required for special equipment. College credit charge is above the cost of tuition.
