How Reliable Is Hyundai SUV Santa Fe

Engine and Transmission

The diesel engine is now having an eight-speed automatic transmission from the brand, that has replaced the last model’s six-speed unit. It is now able to produce a 144kW of power and a 436Nm of torque. The Exterior

The Santa Fe is now grown bigger in size. The 2018 model measures an extra of 70mm and 10mm in length and width respectively and it has even got a wheelbase extension of 65mm in order to make a more spacious cabin. This increase in size continues to be in the second-row seats with an extra 38mm of legroom and an extra 22mm of headroom allotted for the third row. What more? Well, Hyundai claims to have increased the boot in volume as well by 40-litres to 625L.

Latest Safety Technology

As confirmed by the Hyundai people previously, the new model is going to feature Hyundai’s SmartSense safety technology that includes a range of functionalities making driving experiences more secure and smart.

Starting from the forward and reverse autonomous braking, a Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist it adds on Safety Exit Assist too that can lock the doors temporarily if the car can detect anything unsafe or precarious from the surrounding conditions. Hyundai has already declared about Santa Fe’s new look, that is designed on the basis of the brand’s new design philosophy for making and running SUVs, all with the high-set pair of headlights that are well connected with the cascading grills.

Trim Levels

With the latest arrivals at 2018, Santa Fe is supposed to bring with it the current three tier range – Active, Elite and Highlander as well.

Pros

As shared by Hyundai Ontario, Santa Fe has been Impressive enough in the safety rating, can be counted as a good pick for its handsome yet rugged exterior styling and enter the wish list for its lengthy list of value-packed features.

Cons

The powertrain didn’t show much good result, the USB count is too less, and the car has an overall mediocre performance.

The Verdict

Though not able to get into the buyer’s list as the best car of the year, Santa Fe finally makes it to impress people for many reasons that are discussed above.
