Cycling vacations are always alluring to the ardent vacationer probably due to the freedom they offer and the scope they provide for exploring new avenues and new destinations. Apart from charting your own paths and routes, you can set fire to your trail by exploring on paths less trodden by others. Feel the wind in your hair and the beautiful vistas that open before you as you pedal away. Have a look at some of the stunning destinations for a wholesome cycling vacation:

Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Cape Code and the areas around it are perfect for a cycling beginner. You can ride along some of the best landscapes in the area with your family, including children, because the terrain is mostly flat. If you choose the bike trail from Dennis to Eastham, you can pass through cranberry bogs and marches, marshlands and Nickerson State Park. The distance is 20 miles and on the way, you can see quaint villages. You can also choose to go along Cape Cod Bikeway as the Cape Cod Canal is the biggest sea-level canal in the world. If you go around in a loop, you can ride for 14 miles (the distance for one lap is 7 miles). Some people take the Cape Cod Rail trail for 25 miles and the terrain is not only flat, but extremely scenic too.

Tuscany, Italy

The idyllic country roads of Tuscany invite you to pedal along and savor the true beauty of an exciting countryside. The rustic charm of the ancient architectures and the modern buildings combined with wine tasting outings add to glamor of this vacation. Colorado Rocky Mountains, USA

The iconic mountains of Colorado offer stunning vistas of natural landscape and numerous paths for cycling enthusiasts. Cycling events happen here all the time and you can choose from one-day tours to multi-week tours. If you plan the tour on your own, it could be a bit intimidating because of the intricate network of routes, so you can enroll in The Colorado Department of Transportation Scenic and Historic Byways program and identify the routes that will be more useful to you. Different kinds of trails are offered during different seasons and you can choose the one that is more feasible for you. The most popular ones among cyclists are the Trail Ridge Road and the Peak to Peak byways.
