Things to do around the Hammamet Resort

The Hammamet resort in itself has lots of activities that will absorb your interest day in and day out. But you can explore some of the activities outside the place too. You have to visit the medina because it is surrounded by mesmerizing walls on all sides. It is a perfectly dreamy place for an afternoon stroll. You can visit the folklore museum and a 15th century Kasbah while staying at the resort. There is a beautiful villa there called avenue des Nations Unies and it plays host to concerts and art exhibitions. Also a lot of crafts shops that contain a lot of sovereigns like intricate ornaments, brass ornaments, leather goods, exotic carpets and there is always something that you can take home to your friends. The area is actually a treasure trove for ardent shoppers.

If you are in the mood to travel, you can visit the pottery centre in Nabeul. For a day trip, you can consider renting a car and go around to see the small villages to have a taste of the real African culture that still remains an enigma for most people. You can also have a gala time visiting the ruins at Carthage and go to the Bardo Museum to look at the spectacular Roman mosaics.
